Jazz has been known to have roots from West African and African American culture. The soulful feel and distinctive style has audiences all over the world mesmerised and captured by the nature of its expression. Allow yourself to be enticed by the rhythmic blues of the sax as it transcends you into the world of improvisation.
British-Nigerian Gospel and Smooth Jazz Saxophonist Ruth has a passion for sharing her love of God and music through the saxophone. She has played across the world, gracing the stages of Carnegie Hall in New York, the mountains of Ibiza & the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the UK.
Ruth is accomplished on the alto, soprano & tenor saxophone, with a special preference for the soprano saxophone. Ruth plays a number of other instruments, including the clarinet and piano. She has many years of teaching experience, which has included teaching in schools in London such as the prestigious Dwight School in London.
